Every August cabin fever strikes in Arizona. We have been stuck indoors, with A/C blasting, staring out our shaded windows into the blazing sun since May. It’s monsoon season, so that adds humidity to the equation, too. August is a hard month.
However, August is when we start dreaming of fall. The days are still long, and the nights are still hot. But oranges, reds, and yellows start to percolate in our heads. Local stores are already bringing out Christmas, so it can’t be too early to start bringing out those harvest candles, right? Our DIY projects are taking on a cozier theme. Halloween movies are appearing on Netflix and flea market applications are being completed. Yes, yes, fall is on it’s way.
